BITURBO- The strongest brake system in Daiwa’s history

In 2019, the new entry-class LB reel “CYGNUS LBD” has been released. Cygnus LBD is the successor to the TRISO series. The Daiwa LB series is the most affordable price range, and it is an item that beginners will often get as the first unit. Cygnus LBD has been thoroughly brushed up, such as adopting LC-ABS spools, but the fact that it is equipped with the BITURBO brake that was first installed in “Tournament ISO LBD” is a greatly evolved part. The brake efficiency of about twice that of the previous model has been achieved, making it possible to reliably control the reverse rotation of the rotor with a light force. The first obstacle for beginners is lever operation such as releasing the brake and sending the line, or holding the brake and stopping the rotor. But there’s one thing you shouldn’t make mistakes here. The exchange of stopping and floating fish is done with a rod, and the reel is simply an auxiliary. The rod produces rich elasticity by bending and brings out the strength of the line. When the rod is drawn by the fish and almost stretched, a minimum necessary line is sent out to create a bent state of the rod. This is the role of reels. Conversely, if the pole is bent firmly, it is almost unnecessary to show the line. The rotor can be surely stopped by the intention of the angler in a scene where the line does not need to be put out. This is the biggest advantage of LB reels.
